Overview
In-Person Gen Ed Teacher at Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. (Augustine Hills School). This role is part-time, in-person, to work with students one-on-one in a private school setting for core middle school and high school subjects.
Position DescriptionPosition: Part-time teacher (in-person, one-on-one) at Augustine Hills School, for core subjects in middle school and high school.
Location: Wilmington, DE 19803 — Just off I-95 and Route 202 at a convenient and quiet location
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Schedule is flexible).

- Provide personalized, one-on-one instruction in middle school and high school subjects focusing on literature and math.
- Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.
- Create an engaging classroom experience that connects math concepts to real-life contexts.
- Assess students’ progress and maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, progress, and grades.
- Collaborate with other educators and administrators as needed.
- Adjust instructional techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching middle school and high school students in core subjects, including literature and math up to Algebra 1 (not including student teaching).
- Bachelor’s degree
- Within 30-minute commute of ZIP code 19803
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level
- Experience developing a curriculum, assessing students, and grading their work
