STEM and Technology Summer Camp Teacher

Lead Instructor – Summer Program

Join Black Rocket as a Lead Instructor in our summer programs. We prepare kids for tomorrow through engaging, hands‑on technology and creativity experiences, including Minecraft, Roblox, coding, video editing, robotics, 3D modeling, and more.

• Lead a class of up to 12 students alone and 25 students with an assistant in a classroom setting.
• Engage children ages 6–14 in technology‑based projects and lessons, ensuring a fun and productive learning environment.
• Manage and safely transfer equipment between sites as needed for each class.
• Participate in paid online training before the summer begins.
• Conduct lessons according to Black Rocket’s curriculum and standards.

• 21 years of age or older.
• College graduate with a degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology, or related field (or significant relevant work experience).
• Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship or work‑type accommodations will be offered.
• Strong technology skills in areas such as coding, game creation, 3D modeling, video editing, robotics or similar fields.
• Experience working with children in educational settings preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a minimum of four weeks, Monday through Friday, during the summer.
• Reliable transportation and located within driving distance of one of our partner regions.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management skills.

• Rate: $19–$25 per hour, depending on experience, location, and availability.
• Summer seasonal position (4–10 weeks) starting in June.
• Potential opportunities to move into supervisory roles in future years.
