We’re looking for an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—passionate about raising the bar in infusion therapy care. The Infusion Guide will support company growth through detailed referral and intake coordination and exceptional customer and physician service. The role offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload.
Responsibilities- Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtain authorizations, provide financial counseling, and investigate benefits.
- Coordinate with referring providers to obtain required documentation and communicate patient status.
- Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer‑centric manner.
- Maintain open communication with referring and prescribing providers.
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies.
- Participate in a dedicated 6‑week training plan to succeed in the role.
- Passion for patient care and delivering exceptional experiences.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Prior infusion experience preferred.
- Insurance prior‑authorization experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Comprehensive medical insurance experience.
- Ability to quickly learn new applications.
- Strong familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
