The Starting Hourly Rate is US $17.75 per hour. The Pay Range is US $17.75 - US $26.65 per hour.

About On‑Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On‑Demand Team Member. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On‑Demand TM, you are not included on the posted weekly schedule, but rather create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. We also ask you to pick up and work shifts at least every four weeks (minimum four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest. If you do not respond, your employment may be terminated.

If you do not work at least one shift within five months, your employment will be administratively terminated.

In case you are offered a position, you will be required to attend Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short‑term structured training schedule. After that, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up the shifts you desire to work.

Service & Engagement

Advocate of guest experience by welcoming, thanking, and exceeding guest service expectations while focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Provide both in‑store and digital services and knowledge of capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empower shoppers at the checkout lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up, and drive‑up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve specific needs.
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
  • Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs and relevant fulfillment services.
  • Show guests how to use Wallet and other features within the Target App.
  • Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed.
  • Partner with leaders to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
  • Deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up, and Registry guests.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area.
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
  • Work safely at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training.
  • Support guest services such as OPU, Drive‑up Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture.
  • Support Cash Office processes and cash system management as needed.
  • Perform other duties based on business needs.
