Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, the Natural Gas Analyst supports Alpha Gen's commercial strategy by analyzing natural gas markets, fuel supply agreements, and generation asset margins. This role develops forecasts, conducts quantitative analysis, and provides actionable market intelligence that supports fuel procurement, portfolio optimization, risk management, and trading activities.

The Natural Gas Analyst monitors natural gas market fundamentals, evaluates fuel-related opportunities and risks, and develops recommendations that enhance profitability across Alpha Gen's generation portfolio. This position works closely with Commercial Operations and Risk to support strategic decision-making and optimize fuel-related outcomes.

• Monitor and analyze natural gas market fundamentals, including supply, demand, storage, weather, LNG exports, pipeline infrastructure, and regulatory developments.
• Develop short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts for natural gas prices, basis differentials, transportation costs, and fuel supply conditions.
• Analyze historical market data, pricing trends, and economic indicators to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Maintain awareness of regional developments and assess potential impacts on Alpha Gen's fuel costs and generation margins.
• Support the development of Alpha Gen's forward market view and fuel strategy recommendations.
• Prepare timely reports, presentations, and dashboards that communicate market trends, key findings, and actionable recommendations to management.
