Mechanical Project Engineer

The Mechanical Project Engineer will support a team in the implementation of piping and mechanical systems for large‑scale industrial construction projects. The role involves project management from pre‑construction through final acceptance, with direct responsibility for safety, quality, budget, schedule, and vendor management.

• Manage project engineering activities and personnel, including planning, procurement, design review, and work assignments.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedules.
• Prepare vendor quotes for materials, equipment, and specialty items; track material deliveries.
• Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on budgeting, staffing, employee training, scheduling, and other discretionary matters.
• Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.
• Monitor crew assignments to meet productivity goals.
• Conduct field walks and spot checks to verify work quality.
• Ensure compliance with county, state, and OSHA policies and regulations.

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a construction Project Engineer.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.

• Ability to apply safety laws, company policies and standards consistently.
• Strong management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Skill in building trust and achieving results with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, interpreting work specifications, and understanding work scopes.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving capabilities.
