Position Overview
As a Solutions Leader on Duty, you will ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of guests and their pets. You will work to provide each guest with the best possible experience by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies, and services while maintaining the Pet Care Center’s merchandise and safety standards.
Position Responsibilities- Model our selling model and support guest interactions.
- Demonstrate strong interest in animal welfare.
- Complete training programs to maintain expertise in your role.
- Coach partners on guest‑centric programs such as nutrition standards, companion animal sales, seasonal promotions, and services to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Process register transactions in a way that creates a great experience for each guest.
- Support the overall Omni Guest Experience through execution and training of BOPUS, Loyalty Programs, Ship‑from‑store, and Endless Aisle.
- Act as Leader on Duty to support Pet Care Center execution, training, communication, and maintenance of company initiatives, pet care, legal compliance, policies, procedures, safety practices, and promotions.
- Partner with the operations team to replenish and maintain brand standards.
- Promote a positive leadership culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Utilize selling behaviors to provide an amazing guest experience within Pet Care Locations.
- Contribute to a safe environment, maintaining safety protocols for partners, guests, and pets.
- Be part of a collaborative culture that solves for the health and wellness needs of pets.
- Engage in your career development through training programs and career growth opportunities.
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in mathematics and above average communication skills.
- Professional appearance, genuine interest in animals, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with the public and partners.
- Ensure partners provide quick and courteous service to all guests.
- Maintain merchandising and safety standards across the Pet Care Center.
- Open and close the Pet Care Center according to established SOPs.
- Maintain proper attendance processes in partnership with Pet Care Center leaders.
- Promote safety procedures for partners, guests, and pets.
Tasks are primarily conducted indoors, with occasional customer carryouts and veterinary visits requiring brief store exit. The role requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 lbs), and standing for long periods. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Salary RangeHourly: $17.00 – $26.00
