Patient Care Tech - Admission Discharge

Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Unit Clerk (PCT/HUC)

Department: Admission Discharge
Shift: 6:30 am–3:30 pm, Part Time Days, 20 hrs per week (40 hrs per pay period)
Facility: Atrium Medical Center

The PCT collaborates with nurses and doctors to provide personalized patient care, performing tasks such as:

• Checking vital signs: temperature, heartbeat, breathing, and other vitals.
• Assisting patients with movement, dressing, and eating.
• Collecting samples such as urine.
• Performing ADLs, weighing patients, and walking them.
• Reporting any changes in a patient's condition to a nurse.
• Helping with paperwork and hospital administrative tasks.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Training: BLS CPR certificate is required before start (can be obtained during orientation).

Experience: No prior employment required; preferred if any of the following:

• Completed STNA, CNA, or PCT/Assistant training.
• Had patient‑care responsibilities within the past 5 years (e.g., temperature, bathing, toileting).
• Currently in nursing school and completed one clinical rotation.
