American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a Level 3 Trauma hospital's adult critical care unit, requiring 2+ years of RRT and critical care experience.
Requirements- Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License required if applicable
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC
- BLS and ACLS certification through AHA
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT with critical care experience
- Associate degree in Applied Science (Respiratory Care or NBRC-approved equivalent)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Work in a 24/7 Respiratory Care Services department focused on adult care areas
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
- 13-week contract assignment
- Use of mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, and medical gas therapy equipment
- Epic EMR experience required
- Analyze, prioritize, and evaluate patient respiratory care needs in adult critical care settings
- Assess, recommend, implement, and modify respiratory care procedures per protocol or physician order
- Initiate, maintain, troubleshoot, and wean patients from respiratory equipment
- Complete yearly clinical and didactic competencies for assigned clinical areas
- Educate staff, physicians, and patients on disease processes, treatments, and medications
- Interface regularly with medical staff, nursing, allied health practitioners, patients, and families
- Hunter Green scrubs required
- May float within the hospital or to nearby facilities based on skill set and census
- Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no changes after offer
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Local radius is 50 miles; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous Premier Health Partners staff or agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying
