Manufacturing ​/ Production Operator, Manufacturing Production

Essity Middletown is currently seeking production employees, who have the ability and aptitude to progress to the top position in each department, while supporting our high standards of safety. Newly hired employees begin work as a Labor Reserve, where they learn the processes and equipment. Typical responsibilities, for a Labor Reserve employee, vary greatly based on work assigned. This position requires physical exertion in a heavy, industrial environment.

Work in a safe manner, while wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel toed shoes, bump caps, and other personal protective equipment as required

Prepare raw materials for the operation

Operate machinery and industrial equipment to Essity standards

Maintain communication with previous and next shift, as well as other crew members and team members involved in operations

Secure quality level by regular testing requirements

Complete all documentation needed for operations

Work around moving process equipment

Accurate reading of tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment

Utilize basic math skills

Use basic computer skills to retrieve and enter data

Train and re-train as position requirements are modified
