Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Maintenance Technicians
to join our team at the
Cleveland Cliffs
Facility
located in
Middletown, OH
. These individuals will be responsible for maintenance duties, as well as performing daily manual labor in an industrial setting as defined below.

Shift Details: Rotating between 1st and 2nd Shift

Shift: 1st

Schedule:Monday - Sunday, 6:15 a.m.

- 3:30 p.m.

Shift: 2nd

Schedule:Monday - Sunday, 2:45 p.m.

- 11:00 p.m.

Responsibilities and

Job Duties:

• Services and rebuilds slide gates for Tundishes & Ladles in the Caster Department of Cleveland Cliffs.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs equipment such as springs, guide rails, upper & lower frames, & hydraulic cylinders.
• Rebuilds and services gates, use calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, taps, dies, & other basic hand tools.
• Works at heights with confidence and commitment to safety.
• Operates a powered industrial truck, scissor lifts, and other equipment as assigned.
• Follows company and customer safety protocol, use of assigned PPE and reporting requirements.

• One year of relevant experience using tools and equipment in heavy industrial setting including ability to read, analyze, interpret general and technical business procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 certification is mandatory prior to hire (may obtain through company sponsored program).
• Knowledge of processes managed on the job site and ability to maintain proper PPE, safety rules, policies and procedures required at assigned customer locations.
• Ability to calculate general figures and amounts, such as proportions, percentage, area, and volume.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
