Registered Nurse; RN - Med​/Surg

Shift: 7:00 pm – 7 : 30 am

Provides medical, surgical, oncology & telemetry nursing care for inpatient and observation patients in the unit equipped with telemetry monitors. Supports patients receiving vasoactive and/or anti‑arrhythmic medications requiring cardiac monitoring; patients on titration will be moved to a higher level of care. Clinical specialties include general medical, pulmonary, geriatrics, oncology, palliative care, and end‑of‑life care. The unit specializes in inpatient oncology nursing care, including chemotherapy administration, central access devices, complex post‑operative nursing care, infusion services, and the management of immunosuppressed patients.

The unit contains 6 negative pressure rooms for airborne isolation and a total capacity of 48 private rooms. The Clinical Nurse, a registered nurse (RN), partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support, promoting safety and patient outcomes. The RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism, promotes excellence, and fosters autonomy in nursing practice.

The RN uses the nursing process with evidence‑based principles to care for a diverse caseload within the department scope of service, serving as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentinel. The RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter‑professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.

• Associate degree in Nursing

• Valid Ohio RN license

No prior job‑related work experience
