Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Paraprofessional – Delaware County, PA

Location: Delaware County, PA – Aston, Boothwyn, Chester, and surrounding areas

Schedule: Monday-Friday, School Hours

We are hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), Paraprofessionals, Instructional Aides, and Special Education Support Staff for school-based opportunities throughout Delaware County, Pennsylvania, including Aston, Boothwyn, Chester, and surrounding communities.

These positions are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to make a positive impact in a school environment. PCAs and Paraprofessionals may provide one-on-one student support or assist students in small-group and classroom settings.

Students may require additional assistance with academics, behavior, communication, social-emotional skills, mobility, or personal care. Previous school, childcare, behavioral health, special education, or direct support experience is preferred.

• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students
• Assist students with classroom assignments and daily activities
• Support students with special education, autism, behavioral, or emotional needs
• Reinforce positive behaviors and provide redirection when needed
• Assist teachers and other school staff with classroom activities
• Follow student IEPs and individualized support plans
• Support students with social, communication, and daily living skills
• Monitor and document student progress or behaviors as required
• Assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, or mobility, when applicable
• Maintain student confidentiality and professional boundaries
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Maintain consistent attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• School-based, special education, behavioral health, autism support, childcare, or direct care experience is a plus
• Experience providing one-on-one support is preferred
• Ability to remain patient and professional when working with students who may display challenging behaviors
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation to school locations throughout Delaware County
• Must be dependable and able to maintain a consistent school-week schedule
• Must be willing to complete required school clearances and onboarding requirements
