The Alliance is a Christ-centered, Acts 1:8 family that is passionate about bringing all of Jesus to all of the world. The Eastern PA District of the Alliance uniquely fulfills this mission by developing Kingdom workers for increasing Gospel impact. As a district we are looking for a partner on our team that will catalyze development, pursue generous excellence, and lead proactively.

OVERVIEW:

As the Equipping Director, you’ll be the leader of our efforts to equip workers and mobilize our district family for mission to our neighbors and the nations. The Equipping Director is responsible to seek the Lord’s direction in the planning and execution of a strategy for development cohorts, a pathway for ordination/consecration, and facilitating partnerships between churches, international workers, and fields.

You will be expected to provide oversight to the implementation of our DMC Dashboard and PEAK tools across the district.

The Equipping Director is expected to be a Gospel-rooted and relational leader that meets the biblical qualifications of an elder; taking the initiative to see where the requirements of our denomination and our desire for Gospel transformation that flows to multiplication intersect to create pathways for development in our new and current official workers. You are expected to be very collaborative, working with the District team to curate a strategy that best equips our workers to lead their ministries toward regional multiplication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conceptualize, develop, and execute a pathway that effectively prepares new workers and trains onboarding workers; this includes leadership of our district’s credentialling council (DCC).

Provide oversight and strategy to our development efforts that equip our workers toward regional multiplication; including leadership of assigned cohorts, with an emphasis on the personal/relational areas

Oversee the administration and coaching of PEAK; in alignment with our vision of regional multiplication; specifically through our church transition process

Assist in the church transition process through PEAK and church/pastor profile creation, in consultation with the District Superintendent

Lead and administrate our team’s Disciple-Making Community (DMC) Dashboard conversations

Catalyze and lead a missions mobilization effort that ensures a developmental approach to creating strong church/international worker partnerships in the local church

Serve as a liaison between the district and the national education institutions and programs (ACLD, universities, etc.) with the goal of recruiting new workers into our regional networks

Provide oversight to the next generation leaders in our district; emphasis on development

Assist in church/worker crisis, using Alliance Peacemaking, as assigned

Participate in our district’s communications effort; writing stories, missions engagement, and district conference

Visit/speak at district churches; emphasis on opportunities that connect with role responsibilities

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Clear articulation of personal faith in Jesus, demonstrated character qualities of biblical elder, and a resonance with the philosophy of ministry of the District (i.e. development for increasing Gospel impact, regional multiplication)

Licensed as an official worker of the Alliance

Bachelor’s degree in related field

Hands-on experience in creating developmental or training systems

PREFERRED

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience with creating training pathways; with proven history of healthy systems and structures

Highly strategic, organized, and detail oriented with exceptional communication skills

Demonstrated track record of developing successful leaders

Creativity and a willingness to try new approaches

Established skills in policy writing, decision-making, and relationship-building
