The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro (General Service Technician) is an entry‑level automotive technician position and a great way to start your career rting day 1 you will participate in a comprehensive mechanic training program covering all aspects of your new role. As a General Service Technician, you will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles and help deliver 5‑Star guest experiences by ensuring people have safe, reliable transportation.

• Keyholder duties including supervision of shop while the Store Manager is not working.
• Running end‑of‑day paperwork and cash handling.
• Acting as an assistant to the store manager in their duties and responsibilities.
• Mechanic duties such as changing, mounting, and installing tires.
• Wheel removal, tire repair, balance, and tire patch/plug repairs.
• Quick lube type duties such as lubrication and oil change.
• Inspect and rotate tires.
• Basic automotive maintenance work such as battery installation.
• Training to do alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance services.

The hourly range for this role is $16 – $17 based on experience. The role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives, with pay determined by experience level.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED equivalent.
• Automotive experience.
• Own a basic set of mechanics tools or participate in a tool purchase program.
• Valid driver license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift 50 lbs.
