Overview
PCS ILS Professional - Submarine Combat Systems at SEACORP
SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified PCS ILS Professional - Submarine Combat Systems. Primary duties and responsibilities include developing technical documentation, creating and maintaining schedules, reviewing documentation for technical accuracy, usability, and fleet relevance of submarine technical documentation.
Responsibilities- Participate in feature design reviews and implementation demonstrations.
- Provide feedback on the operational impacts of new features to software developers, systems engineers and testers.
- Develop, review, validate, and provide detailed feedback on IETM content, structure, and accuracy.
- Ensure IETMs are technically aligned with PCS system architecture, configuration, and operational behavior.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure content completeness.
- Translate complex system information into accessible content suitable for end-user understanding (fleet maintainers, operators, and technicians).
- Develop and maintain a schedule to meet all BYG-1 delivery milestones.
- Provide technical input on procedures, troubleshooting steps, preventive maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs), configuration control boards (CCBs), and documentation review boards.
- Education: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (preferred but not required). Equivalent military training and experience may be substituted.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience with U.S. Navy submarine systems, preferably in combat systems.
- Deep understanding of BYG-1 and PCS
- Experience with IETMs, technical manuals, or maintenance documentation in a DoD or Navy context.
- Familiarity with Navy maintenance philosophies and procedures (e.g., troubleshooting logic).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in reviewing technical diagrams, system schematics, and interface documentation.
- Isolation of software and hardware problems and implementation of fixes.
- Experience participating in Test Events and System Assessments.
- Former U.S. Navy Fire Control Technician (FT) or SONAR Technician with experience on Virginia, Seawolf, Ohio, or 688-class submarines. Or experience as a BYG-1/SWFTS Systems or Test Engineer.
- Familiarity with Navy logistics systems such as CDMD-OA, TDMIS, or SCLSIS.
Citizenship: As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.

Work Environment & Physical DemandsOffice & Computer Laboratories – Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard, viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of up to 40 lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Environment generally consistent with occasional temperature and lighting variations.
