This position provides extraordinary member experience by planning, organizing, and directing the activities involved in the administration of all functions within the Finance Department, including regulatory reporting, budget preparation, financial planning and analysis, investment management, asset-liability management, liquidity management, as well as development of internal controls and procedures.

The Head of FP&A and Accounting is also a trusted financial advisor and thought partner to business and functional leaders across the Credit Union. This role supports informed decision-making by translating financial data into practical insights that align operational performance with the credit union’s mission, strategic plan, and financial sustainability goals.

Accounting and Regulatory Policies

• Researches and interprets new regulatory, financial accounting standards board (FASB), and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) pronouncements, and determines if there is a financial and operational impact on the credit union.
• Develops and implements new accounting policies and procedures within the credit union by working with other division leaders when necessary.
• Reviews and revises accounting policies and procedures when changes are warranted.

Financial and Regulatory Reporting

• Ensures the daily and month end close is prepared accurately and efficiently.
• Reviews financial results for reasonableness and investigates and reports on variances.
