We use immersive curriculum, real-time progress monitoring, restorative practices, and human-centered design to transform behavior and well-being, empowering students to return to their home schools equipped to thrive.

Job Summary: The Executive Program Director is a senior leader responsible for the comprehensive oversight and successful implementation of the Highfive Lab therapeutic learning program. This role ensures the fidelity of therapeutic and academic interventions, manages daily operations, supervises a multidisciplinary staff, and acts as the primary liaison with all key stakeholders, including district leadership, home schools, families, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Oversight & Fidelity:
  • Oversee all aspects of the Highfive Lab program, ensuring adherence to its trauma-informed, restorative, and evidence-based model.
  • Maintain fidelity to the established program framework, curriculum, and therapeutic supports.
  • Lead continuous program improvement through data review and feedback mechanisms.
  • Staff Supervision & Development:
  • Supervise and provide biweekly one-on-one coaching and supervision to all Highfive Lab staff
  • Lead weekly team meetings to review student cases, problem-solve challenges, and foster a collective learning environment.
  • Oversee and participate in extensive initial and ongoing professional development for all program staff.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
  • Coordinate and lead all meetings with stakeholders, including bi-weekly Family Circles & Reviews, monthly data reviews with district counselors, and transition meetings with home schools.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with district leadership, home schools, and community partners to ensure seamless integration and support for students.
  • Facilitate Parent Universities to embed program strategies into the home environment.
  • Operational Management:
  • Manage daily operations of the Highfive Lab site(s).
  • Ensure a low student-to-staff ratio is maintained to preserve individualized support.
  • Monitor program and student progress using Highfive tools (DNA, Curriculum, Highfive Classroom) and other tracking mechanisms.
  • Project and budget oversight and management.
  • Collaborate in the development and refinement of program handbooks, reporting structures, and operational guidelines to ensure fidelity and effective implementation.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Lead at least one community engagement event to engage the Appo Community
  • Coordinate learning opportunities for Appo Community stakeholders

Logistics:

  • Working hours follow the regular school day schedule of the assigned school site within the Appoquinimink School District.
  • Laptop will be provided by district with district and Highfive access for resources
  • The director will have an office at one of the two sites.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role within an educational, therapeutic, or juvenile justice setting, preferably with trauma-informed and restorative practices knowledge.
  • Strong alignment and commitment to the Highfive Lab's core components and service delivery model.
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and relationship-building skills.
