Engineering Technician II
Location:
Newport, RI
Clearance required:
SECRET Scope of Work:
Provides mid-level technician support for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network, telephone, and Media Center infrastructure and cabling plant.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Install, terminate, test, and maintain copper and fiber optic cabling plant, including inter-building fiber
Perform remedial and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure components
Install or modify network, Media Center, and telephone configurations
Update and maintain maintenance records and documentation
Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.
Mid-level infrastructure installation, testing, and maintenance skills
Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
