SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer III
. The Electronic Warfare Business Area is seeking a mid‑level Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will need a minimum 10 years of experience and a current DoD Secret Clearance. They will be located at SEACORP's main location in Middletown, RI starting early 2026. The candidate will act as technical lead for tasks, collaborate and interact with customers and colleagues, require creative thinking and problem‑solving abilities, and have strong organizational and presentation skills.

This ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure and be self‑motivated.

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
• Maintain databases within an application area.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
• Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, or resolve customer problems.
• Direct software programming and development of documentation.
• Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
• Confer with data processing or project managers to obtain information on limitations or capabilities for data processing projects.
• Consult with customers or other departments on project status, proposals, or technical issues, such as software system design or maintenance.
• Prepare reports or correspondence concerning project specifications, activities, or status.

• Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in C++ software development and UML design.
• Proficient in a Linux development environment and in writing software requirements and design documentation.
• Experience using the Qt Framework, writing Software Requirements Documents (SRS) and Software Design Documents (SDD), and using Data Distribution Protocol (DDS).
• U.S. citizenship and current DoD Secret clearance.
