Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer I. The Combat Systems Business Area is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented entry‑level software engineer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that support mission‑critical defense applications. The selected candidate will work alongside experienced engineers in a professional and technically focused environment.

• Participates in an Agile development process to produce reliable software solutions for mission‑critical systems.
• Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems.
• Participates in one or all of the software disciplines available including UI, infrastructure and back‑end development.
• Interfaces with management, software engineers, systems engineers and test engineers to generate thorough investigations and solutions to problems.
• Is self‑motivated to explore solutions to software issues and can communicate them with the team.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.

Experience: 0–2 years of experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing.

• Proven knowledge and experience around object‑oriented programming.
• Experience with C++ and/or Java.
• Familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Git.
• Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.
• Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP is preferred.
• Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, Maria
  
  DB, or MySQL.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories – sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of < 40 lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
