Purchase Ledger Clerk

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 16:30(30 minute unpaid lunch)

Silver Arrow require a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work for a prestigious transport company based in Middlewich. This is a full-time and permanent position.

• Dealing with payment runs, supplier queries, statement reconciliations and aged balances, supported by the "paperless" software for automation.
• Processing of purchase invoices using the companies electronic invoice recognition software
• Processing of staff expense forms
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Preparation of suggested payment runs
• Setting up new supplier accounts
• Matching and reconciliation of sub-contractor invoices against our logistics system and approval through to our accounting system.
• Ad-hoc tasks as required within the finance team

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger role
• Be adaptable to change
• Open to learning and progressing within the team
• Methodical with strong attention to detail
• Structured approach
• Ability to work as part of a team but also individually
• Microsoft office experience
• Sage accounts experience – preferred but not essential
• Holidays 20 days plus 8 statutory days (Increasing holiday entitlement with service)
