Accounts Clerk

A well-established supplier of materials used in food manufacturing, commercial packaging, pet trade has an immediate requirement for an Accounts Clerk to join them at their offices in Cheshire.

As accounts clerk your role will include:

Daily bank reconciliations.
Create Sales Invoices for Manager approval, and ensure monthly cut-off is correct.
Enter Purchase Invoices onto the system (Sage), ensuring correct nominal & Vat codes used.
Assist with periodic physical stock counts and recording Stock Counts on Excel.
Update Cash Flow Forecast on a daily basis, reconciling to bank accounts
Management of Petty Cash, along with monthly reconciliations.
Completion of mileage and expense claim forms.
Assist with filing of finance paperwork.
Preparing weekly payment runs in bank system.
Other ad-hoc duties, as and when required.
Supporting Sales Admin clerk with order processing, onto Sage, including checking and sending order acknowledgements, and Proforma invoices.
Checking Supplier statements and follow-up for missing items.
Responding to e-mails into accounts departments for information / copy invoices / dealing with credit note requests / customer request for statements.
