THE ROLE As a Data Scientist, you will focus on credit risk, decisioning, and lending strategy. You will play a key role in developing and implementing analytical solutions that support lending decisions, pricing, affordability assessments, and portfolio performance. Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
Building and monitoring credit risk scorecards, pricing models, and decisioning strategies. Developing analytical solutions using customer, transactional, and external data sources. Supporting affordability analysis, portfolio monitoring, and performance reporting. Enhancing lending policies and strategies through data-driven insights. Collaborating with commercial, product, and technology teams to improve lending outcomes. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience: A strong academic background with a degree in a quantitative STEM discipline.
2-4 years of experience in Data Science, Credit Risk Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
Experience with in financial services, lending, insurance, or a similarly regulated environment. Strong Python and SQL skills. Knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques. Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. BENEFITS The successful Data Scientist will receive a salary up to £60,000.
