Assembly Operative

KPI Recruiting are on the look out for an Assembly Operative for our client based in Middlewich.

As an Assembly Operative your working days and hours are:

• Monday-Friday - 07:00-16:30
• £14.00 p/h
• Assemble components or finished products according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Inspect parts and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy, reporting any defects or discrepancies to the supervisor
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and tools, to ensure a safe working environment
• Meet daily or hourly production targets; report any downtime, delays, or equipment issues promptly
• Pick and manage components from bins, monitor stock levels, and report shortages as needed
• Operate a range of hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools, and barcode scanning equipment as required
• Work as part of a production team, supporting colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workstation in line with 5S and housekeeping standards
• Ability to handle small components and tools with precision and care
• Ensure accuracy in measurements, part alignment, and overall product quality
• Follow technical instructions, procedures, and health & safety regulations accurately
• Capable of standing for long periods, lifting light components, and performing repetitive tasks
• Work effectively with team members and communicate any production or safety issues promptly
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
