Location: Middlewich, Cheshire.
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour (Weekly Pay).
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30-17:00.
Stock Controller - Construction SectorWe are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established construction company based in Middlewich, Cheshire
, who are looking to add an experienced Stock Controller to their busy warehouse team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate stock systems.
Role OverviewThe Stock Controller is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records across the warehouse. You will lead cycle counts, support stock control activities, assist with stock movements and job bookings, and operate FLT/Telehandler equipment where required.
This role plays a key part in ensuring inventory accuracy and smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and carry out inspections and internal audits of the stores
- Investigate and resolve stock inaccuracies
- Maintain accurate stock records within the customer's system
- Assist with stock movements, allocations, and job bookings
- Support goods-in operations
- Safely and efficiently operate FLT Counterbalance and Telehandler equipment (essential)
- Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to improve stock accuracy
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Identify and report risks, errors, or opportunities for process improvement
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Proven experience in stock control within a warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a busy workplace
- Valid FLT Counterbalance and Telehandler licence (essential)
- Confident using warehouse management systems and basic IT systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and lead stock activities
- Good communication skills with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
- Reliable, proactive, and flexible to meet business needs
- £14.00 per hour
- Weekly pay
- Monday to Friday working hours (no weekends)
