• Meet with clients to make funeral arrangements, explain service options, assist in casket selection, provide pricing information, and prepare standardized contracts.
• Perform technical and cosmological embalming services.
• Finalize details from arrangement conferences with appropriate tracking & compliance documents.
• Direct funeral services and visitation, greet families, open parlor, coordinate and instruct pallbearers, escort clergy to chapel, and assist as needed.
• Prepare or coordinate permits and documents (death certificate, coroner permits, embalming case studies).
• Remove and transport deceased from home or hospital to funeral home.
• Maintain cleanliness of preparation room and equipment.
• Perform all other related functions as assigned.

• 1 year as a licensed funeral director and 2 years of post‑secondary education.
• Must be a licensed funeral director and embalmer or be able to obtain the required state license.
• Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science.
• Strong concentration and attention to detail over prolonged periods.
• Able to stand, walk, lift, and push as necessary.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
