In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a gastroenterology setting. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, conducting procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and treatment plans for gastrointestinal disorders
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals to deliver patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families on treatment options and lifestyle modifications
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
- Active medical license in the state of practice
Experience in a clinical gastroenterology setting - Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient care and quality improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 2 weeks per month
Patient Census: 10 per shift
ERCP preferred, no EUS
Moderate sedation preferred
Support Staff: APPs
Must be board-certified
