Position: Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Gastroenterology

Description

This contract position is based in Midland and requires on-site work. As a key player in the staffing and recruiting industry, we aim to connect healthcare professionals with opportunities that enhance their careers while providing top-tier medical services to communities.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a gastroenterology setting. Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, conducting procedures, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient evaluations and treatment plans for gastrointestinal disorders
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals to deliver patient-centered care
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options and lifestyle modifications
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in gastroenterology
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
  • Active medical license in the state of practice

    Experience in a clinical gastroenterology setting
  • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to patient care and quality improvement
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Schedule:

12-hour shifts, 2 weeks per month

Patient Census: 10 per shift

ERCP preferred, no EUS

Moderate sedation preferred

Support Staff: APPs

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
