High school diploma or its equivalent, plus at least one (1) year of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Depending on the area of assignment, may require a valid Texas Driver's License, AOP certification, and/or other specialized licenses or certifications. A Deputy Clerk shall subscribe to the Statement of Appointed Officer before taking the Official Oath of Office. Must read and understand the personnel and office policies. Standard office practices and procedures, principles of customer service.
Operate a computer, read manuals and office memos; write letters and memos; perform basic mathematical calculations; make change; analyze data; communicate effectively both in person and on the phone; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other county offices, and the public.
