Overview

LOCATION: Midland, Texas (Permian Basin region)

INDUSTRY: Residential & Commercial Construction

CONTEXT: Our client, a Midland-based custom builder specializing in residential, commercial, industrial, and civil projects throughout the Permian Basin, is actively seeking a Project Manager.

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to the highest quality standard. This is a hands-on role, requiring excellent client interaction, strong leadership, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial, civil) ensuring alignment with client vision, quality standards, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor project schedules; proactively identify and mitigate schedule delays.
  • Manage project budgets; track costs; negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors; implement cost control measures.
  • Ensure all necessary permits, inspections, codes and regulatory requirements are addressed and adhered to.
  • Supervise, mentor, and coordinate team members (site supervisors / foremen / subcontractors) to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits; enforce safety and quality control procedures.
  • Communicate status, challenges, and updates to leadership and clients in a timely, transparent manner.
  • Maintain documentation: change orders, daily reports, contracts, warranties, and close-out documentation.
  • Uphold LMB’s values of craftsmanship, attention to detail, personalized customer service, and building lasting relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • +5 years of project management experience in construction (residential, commercial, industrial or mixed) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, materials, and regulations.
  • Experience in budget management, scheduling software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent), and estimating.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
  • Problem-solving mindset; ability to anticipate issues and resolve proactively.
  • Detail oriented; committed to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to job sites in the Permian Basin region.
Compensation

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 per year
