Orthopedic Surgeon Independent Contractor (1099) – Concentra
OverviewConcentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to provide services on site as a 1099 independent contractor. The role complements your current practice and involves treating patients on location for approximately a 4‑hour shift on a weekly or bi‑weekly basis. The position focuses on medical and surgical care for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work‑related injuries, collaboration with medical and therapy providers, communication with employers, and active participation in case management.
Responsibilities- Half‑day per week or bi‑weekly onsite shifts
- Provide both non‑surgical and surgical specialist services for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work‑related injuries
- Collaborate with medical and therapy providers to expedite return to work and functional restoration
- Communicate with employers and participate in case management
- Preferred experience treating patients with work‑related injuries
- State licensure in practice location
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
- Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Medical Malpractice Insurance covering onsite practice
Independent contractor role with compensation determined by a revenue share model.
