SummaryThe Project Manager will support Energy Transfer’s Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity program for processing, treating, and 192/195 facility piping sites using API 570 and API 510. Primary Responsibilities- The Project Manager will be responsible for the assurance of fixed pressure equipment integrity within Energy Transfer with a focus on processing, treating, and blending locations, reviewing and assessing various piping systems, pressure equipment, storage tanks, etc. in their assigned areas using API 570 and API 510.
- Ensure that all maintenance, inspection, repairs, re‑rates, and alterations made to pressure equipment follow applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, company standards, and recommended practices.
- Review and audit pressure vessel fabrication shops to ensure compliance with approved fabrication standards, drawings, and quality control manuals.
- Collaborate with corrosion and materials groups, pressure equipment engineers, and operations to establish inspection schedules, identify corrosion threats, monitor equipment condition, analyze data, document history, and make recommendations for safe, reliable operation.
- Support operations, maintenance, engineering, and project management staff with decisions concerning the integrity of pressure equipment to meet best practices, industry codes and local jurisdictional requirements.
- Act as first‑line contact with field supervision, operations, and maintenance on technical matters related to the discipline.
- Communicate inspection schedules, repair deadlines, and maintenance due dates, coordinating activities with O&M staff to ensure timely completion.
- Participate in 3‑Year PSM audits, internal and third‑party audits.
- Participate in EPA, OSHA, and local state regulatory audits.
- Develop inspection plans in accordance with company standards and recognized good engineering practices.
- Consider additional factors in repair recommendations such as runtime to failure, root cause analysis, life‑cycle cost.
- Use API‑Risk Based Inspection to determine required inspections and overall strategies.
- Identify appropriate inspection and NDE methods to mitigate equipment risk.
- Oversee and audit NDE and inspection activities and review results, identifying anomalies and eliminating erroneous data.
- Ensure inspection records are current, accurate, and compliant with regulations and codes.
- Manage inspection data in Shield corrosion monitoring program.
- Budget and oversee on‑stream inspection projects.
- Maintain knowledge of codes and requirements, seeking higher‑level advice when necessary.
- Perform API pressure vessel, piping, and tank inspections as needed, routine or emergency.
- Respond to unplanned events, understand causes, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Support the CFR 192 and 195 Facility Pipe program as needed, including anomaly verification.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum eight (8) years of API inspection experience in plant process equipment.
- Current API 510 and API 570 certifications.
- Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software:
Word, Excel, Outlook. - Develop field drafting isometrics of piping systems.
