Overview

Designs, installs, monitors, trouble shoots and repairs Servers, Network devices, Local Area and Wide Area network. Works with network security team using various Intrusion detection and Intrusion prevention technologies. Installs and maintains servers, storage devices, network routers, Firewalls, and switches. Provides first level support to Division LAN Managers and Infrastructure Support personnel. Travel to Field offices for special projects as needed.

Functions

Administrative and technical work relative to the operation of the Division Infrastructure, including network, servers, storage devices.

Responsible for LAN/WAN functions and support including local and wide area networks, routers, switches, and other telecommunications equipment.

Acquires, maintains and trouble-shoots servers, systems, routers, switches.

Works with Division support personnel to prevent and resolve technical problems.

IP internetworking design.

Install, setup, manage and troubleshoot servers, including VMs.

Install, setup, manage and troubleshoot network disk arrays and storage devices.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Five years' experience in LAN/WAN administration
CCNA certification
CCNP certification
Good knowledge of Cisco equipment
Good knowledge of VOIP technologies
Good knowledge of VPN solutions
Good knowledge of all routing protocols
Must have excellent customer service skills
Must have good communication skills

Special job characteristics

Travels 30% of time to provide support for Divisions, as needed
Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Required to be on call 24X7

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
