About the Permian:
Straddling West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico, the Permian is the most prolific oil and gas basin in America and the engine behind the country’s energy renaissance. Nationally, it provides about 40% of oil and 15% of gas production and plays a critical role in making the U.S. a leading energy exporter. The merger of Exxon Mobil and Pioneer creates an Unconventional business with the largest, high‑return development potential in the Permian Basin.
The combined company’s more than 1.4 million net acres in the Delaware and Midland basins have an estimated 16 billion barrels of oil equivalent resource. In 2023, we produced, on average 612,000 barrels a day in the Permian Basin, and we’re aiming to produce 1 million barrels per day from our Permian assets by the end of 2027. Investments in infrastructure from New Mexico to the Gulf Coast enhance logistics and integrated value.
We’ve advanced gathering and processing facilities, including the Cowboy central delivery point. Integration maximizes resource development through to fuels, lubes, and chemicals. WhatRole You Will Play In Our Team
The Exxon Mobil Permian Power Team is responsible for ensuring the availability and reliability of power to support our growing electrical load base that includes drilling rigs, well completions equipment, gas compressors, and submersible pumps. We own and operate electrical substations and transmission/distribution infrastructure to support this load base. Achieving our objectives within the Permian Power Team is critical to support Exxon Mobil’s growth plans as well as our corporate commitments to achieving net zero greenhouse gasses.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Permian Power organization in Midland, TX. The role will be based on technical aptitude and will play a key role in planning, designing, building, and maintaining the electrical infrastructure to meet our growing business demands.
What You Will Do- Interface with cross functional teams to understand field development plans and develop load forecasts.
- Manage multiple projects with moderate complexity.
