Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering‑led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad.

Responsibilities
  • Direct safety resource to the field team. Perform observations, audits, assessments, coaching, training, emergency response, incident response and investigations to ensure the safety program is effectively implemented and functioning properly.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, development of safety programs and procedures, ensuring compliance with customer programs and policies.
  • Conduct investigations and identify immediate corrective actions.
  • Participate in pre‑job hazard analysis and meetings.
  • Prevent occupational illness, injury, regulatory and safety program violations.
  • Ensure that all field employees are properly trained for the tasks they are assigned.
  • Work with project management team to identify project/field risks and implement controls.
  • Provide feedback to management relative to project/field safety compliance.
  • Provide safety training to employees as directed by management.
  • Implement and monitor client and corporate safety program, procedures and policies.
  • Identify/mitigate existing and potential employee/public safety concerns.
  • Perform field safety audits, observations, assessments, and investigations.
  • Coach, train, and evaluate employees.
  • Emergency and incident response.
  • Interface with customer on safety issues and properly elevate issues to management.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
  • Electrical knowledge and/or experience is highly desired.
  • Professional certifications desired.
  • Experienced equipment trainer (forklift, aerial, etc.) desired.
  • Bi‑lingual (speaking/writing) English/Spanish desired.
  • Ability to report to work for differing shifts or be called‑in when needed.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills a must.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple priorities.
  • Professional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressure.
  • Positive attitude and understanding of differing opinions.
  • Problem solver who finds a solution to satisfy all parties involved.
  • Detail oriented and high attention to accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a field/project environment.
  • Ability to speak to small and large groups of people in the field or office.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history.
  • Plant/construction experience desired.
  • Specific documented evidence of training and experience to satisfy qualifications.
  • Ability to gain access to secure facilities (TWIC and Government Security Clearance).
  • Able to gain access to customer sites; no past history of removal for cause or infractions.
  • Preferred:
    • Strong mathematical, writing, speaking skills.
    • Detail oriented and high attention to accuracy.
    • Comfortable working in a field/project environment.
    • Ability to speak to small and large groups of people in the field or office.
