Mechanical Commissioning & Completions Lead

Location:

Midland, TX

Assignment Duration: 12 months+

Work Schedule:

M-F / 40+ hours

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a closely related position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, discipline-appropriate certification(s), or equivalent professional experience
  • Fluent and expert in reading and interpreting P&'s, Piping Isometrics and Production Flow Diagrams
  • Millwright, piping and workshop knowledge
  • Rotating equipment
  • Process flow equipment, gas and oil pipeline systems
  • Operations and maintenance of production facilities
  • Leak testing (N2 Testing)
  • Lube oil flushing, chemical flushing of production systems
  • Report writing and records maintenance
  • Permit to Work System
  • Occupational hazards, standard safety procedures and safe work practices
  • Knowledgeable of Project Completions activities and typical commissioning practices including typical Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
Responsibilities
  • Write quality punch lists with accurate descriptions that will assist with location
  • Perform maintenance and repair work as instructed with limited supervision
  • Ensure equipment is fit for purpose and is tested in accordance with standards and procedures
  • Remove flanges, pipe work, etc. as needed for testing

    Acceptance of Mechanically Complete Sub system packages from Construction
  • Punch List management and responsibility of offered Sub systems / Systems
  • Possess adequate knowledge of Production and Utility Systems
  • Follow and complete proper flushing procedures
  • Maintain equipment records and parts inventory
  • Coordinate activities with other departments and staff
  • Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel from other departments
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and written. Be able to follow oral and written instructions. Read, understand and follow Permit to Work procedures
  • Provide leadership to drive the implementation of engineering, procurement, and site quality systems
  • Provides quality assurance and quality control technical expertise to ensure that services, equipment and materials supplied to the Project meet contract, purchase order, specification and statutory requirements
  • Evaluate and monitor implementation of Contractor's quality management systems and drives improvement to close deficiencies in performance
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Project specific Surveillance Plans and Procedures
  • Monitors metrics to identify, investigate and resolve quality issues
  • Provides direction/oversight to discipline inspectors and support to the Project Team as it relates to quality issues
  • Promote Quality awareness throughout the project
