The Planning and Scheduling Engineer is responsible for managing the overall project schedule and all aspects of the Progress Measurement System. This position involves developing, maintaining, monitoring, controlling, and integrating the project schedule while ensuring consistency and alignment with project requirements. The role includes schedule review, progress analysis, reporting, and proactive detection of trends or deviations from the plan.
Roles And Responsibilities- Provide expertise in project schedule management, progress measurement, and change management
- Ensure development and execution of schedule control and progress procedures by contractors
- Coordinate, monitor, and assess contractor's planning and progress reporting activities
- Review project changes for schedule impact and incorporate approved changes into schedule updates
- Advise project leadership of potential schedule issues and recommend corrective actions as needed
- Support the development and implementation of schedule recovery plans
- Monitor and appraise contractor performance against agreed control plans
- Ensure compliance with project control procedures and contract requirements
- Review contractor progress reports, confirm accuracy, and endorse reported progress as needed
- Analyze schedules and progress trends across project disciplines and activities
- Track planned metrics against completed work quantities for various engineering and construction disciplines
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
- Demonstrated experience in project controls with an emphasis on planning and schedule control
- Technical certifications appropriate to discipline and experience
- Willingness to work overseas and relocate as required
- Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing abilities
- Adaptable to changing priorities and able to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to respond promptly to urgent analysis requests
- Location:
Local to Midland, TX (willingness to relocate overseas required) - Compensation: $48-100/hr (1099)
- Schedule:
Mon‑Fri, 40 hours/week
