Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, 2 years preferred

• Must have experience with all surgeries except cardiac procedures

• Experience with pediatrics and critical care strongly preferred

• Level II trauma experience preferred

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH

• Must have experience recovering patients from Plastics, Urology, Dental, and GYN surgeries

• Experience required with monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and arterial lines

• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts

• Must help with coverage in Pre-Op when needed

• Float between PACU and Pre-Op Holding as the units are connected

• Care for patients of all ages from 8 months to 100+ years old

• Call shifts required

• Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per contract

• Expect to work some holidays

• Cerner charting system experience preferred

• Daily census of approximately 30 patients with 21 beds

• On-site drug screening required

• RTO required with submission
