Radiation Therapist - Midland, Texas

Texas Oncology is looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team at the Midland, Texas location. Responsibilities

The Radiation Therapist, under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam and delivering the prescribed dose are paramount. Other duties include:

  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments.
  • Maintains patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
  • Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assists in appointment scheduling and billing.
  • Accurately cuts blocks, makes custom molds, and completes simple MU calculations.
  • Interprets treatment plans and maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Valid state license for radiation therapy.
Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to sit and use hands, occasionally stand, walk, lift and move up to 30 pounds, and maintain vision and hearing within normal ranges. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
