Radiology Technologist ( Bonus Up to $45,000 )

Job Description:

The RT(R), with a focus on patient safety, functions within the legal scope of practice and in accordance with federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of the employing health care institution or practice setting. The RT(R) works under their own license and assumes accountability and responsibility for the quality of care provided to patients and their families according to the standards of practice.

The RT(R) demonstrates responsibility for continued competence in practice and develops insight through reflection, self-analysis, self-care, and lifelong learning.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

• Practices technology founded upon theoretical knowledge and concepts, uses equipment and accessories consistent with the purposes for which they were designed, and employs procedures and techniques appropriately.
• Assesses situations; exercises care, discretion, and judgment; assumes responsibility for professional decisions; and acts in the best interest of the patient.
• Acts as an agent through observation and communication to obtain pertinent information for the physician to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient; recognizes that interpretation and diagnosis are outside the scope of practice for the profession.
• Uses equipment and accessories, employs techniques and procedures, performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice, and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other members of the healthcare team.

  The Radiology Career Ladder policy outlines the evaluation process to ensure minimum job level requirements, potential advancement, or adjustment of level if requirements are not met.

• Graduate of an accredited program of radiologic technology or trained in a hospital-based program that’s AMA approved.
• ARRT registered or eligible – ARRT must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Texas Medical Board license for Radiologic Technologists or in process of obtaining.
• Total Joint & Spine Center initial and annual education: 1.5 hour

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The individual must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.

Bonus — Up to $45,000. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience. Bonus is only applicable to new hires. Not eligible for current employees or returning employees within one year of separation. Bonus is not eligible if hired through a staffing agency or if sponsorship is required.
