Essential Functions
  • Provides direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice.
  • Plans and conducts individual, family and/or group therapy as assigned by the Director of Social Services or the physician's order.
  • Conducts, assesses and interprets completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment.
  • Reviews all multidisciplinary assessments and compiles a multidisciplinary treatment plan under the supervision of the attending physician.
  • Performs case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Social Services.
  • Attends multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provides updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals; combines the reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary, which facilitates the patient's progress towards treatment plan goals.
  • Delivers patient services in an ethical manner that promotes respect, dignity, and satisfaction.
  • Assesses and interprets age/disability/cultural needs; identifies safety, psychosocial, special mobility and special equipment needs; and communicates in a culturally sensitive manner to patients and families.
  • Conducts treatment and discharge planning according to the patient’s needs and involves the support system in decision making as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least a Clinical Social Worker (CSW), LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPC‑A (TX only) or Psychologist.
  • 0 to 1 year post‑graduate experience in clinical practice.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge to provide care appropriate to any age- and disability-related needs.
  • Knowledge of principles of growth and development applicable to the patient population served.
  • Ability to assess and interpret data to identify patient needs and provide appropriate care, including age, disability and culturally sensitive care.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental illness, chemical dependency and accompanying family dynamics.
  • Basic knowledge of chronic mental illness and clinical therapy modalities.
  • Excellent communication, group and process skills related to age-specific patient needs.
  • Proficiency in assessment, intervention, treatment and discharge planning.
  • Ability to pass a general age/disability post‑test.
  • Versatile, flexible, and able to perform in stressful situations.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to coordinate a multi-faceted workload.
  • Ability to work with an array of mentally and physically disabled persons.
  • Successful completion of CPR certification and Oceans-approved behavioral de‑escalation program.
Working Environment

Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be highly paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to the atmosphere.

Location & Salary

Midland, TX – $51,500.00–$55,000.00 – Full-Time – Entry Level – Health Care Provider – Hospital and Health Care – Oceans Healthcare.
