TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required.

On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation ofthe clinic patient flow and serving as the primary contact for patients. Responsible for scheduling appointments, preparingnecessary paperwork before the patient visits, receiving patients,and maintaining records. In addition, this position is responsible for processing charges for clinic services, filing insurance claims, responding to requests for information from patients and insurance companies and maintaining related information for the department.

Employees may have cash-handlingresponsibilities.

• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and relay messages to the appropriate nurse.
• Accurately enter and update patient demographics to ensure clean insurance claim submissions.
• Respond quickly to patient and insurance company inquiries,including prior authorizations and referrals.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain required authorizationsbefore scheduling appointments.
• Make outgoing calls to patients for appointment reminders,rescheduling, and general clinic communication.
• Document all communications in EMR.
• Handle daily cash transactions, including accepting payment sand performing end-of-day cash counts.
• Attend and actively participate in monthly departmental meetings.
• Maintain current knowledge of department and HSC policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

Occasional travel between Odessa/Midland Pediatric Clinics.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of customer service, office, or related experience. Additional education may substitute for the experience requirement.

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Previous Clinical Experience
