Position Summary
:
Heavy Equipment Parts Technician is responsible for support, sourcing and placing purchase requisitions on a variety of mechanical, electrical, powertrain and hydraulic systems equipment for our service and manufacturing departments.

  • Assists our service and manufacturing department with parts.
  • Maintains stocking level for parts.
  • Manages our VMI parts program.
  • Orders tools and machinery for our service and manufacturing departments.
  • Processes jobs and production orders for our service and manufacturing departments.
  • Reviews jobs and production orders for service, manufacturing and small engine departments.
  • Ensures desk is clean and organized nightly.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in heavy equipment.
  • Experience with equipment parts and able to inspect, recommend, source and aid our service and manufacturing departments.
  • Experience reading and interpreting diagrams.
  • Knowledge of industrial and shop safety rules, procedures, and equipment.
  • Proficient in the English language.

Working Conditions
:

  • Bending, lifting, climbing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, sitting stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat, pull, push, climb, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see and standing (occasionally) for long periods of time.
  • The essential duties of this position require moderate to heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels, vibrations, and bright lights; and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases; and all climate types including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, etc.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
  • Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
