Position SummaryMethod Flow Products, a Roeslein Company, is seeking a PLC Programmer. This individual will perform quality work, be detail‑oriented, and provide superior customer focus. The role requires independent and team collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Comply with Roeslein & Associates’ core values and maintain relationships with employees.
- Serve as a liaison to customers, resolve issues promptly, and adhere to company contracts.
- Follow all company standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete all safety training with a 100% pass rate.
- Train new employees, develop the team, and provide feedback for performance evaluations.
- Escalate employee issues and company violations as needed.
- Respond promptly to troubleshoot issues and avoid prolonged delays.
- Meet deadlines while maintaining safety to ensure quality products.
- Demonstrate extensive experience with flow computers and/or PLCs (Total Flow, ROC, Allen Bradley, SCADAPak).
- Set up Modbus communication, calibrate analog inputs, and perform loop test circuits.
- Program logic using analog inputs/outputs, digital inputs/outputs, relays, etc.
- Use SCADA register maps and integrate third‑party systems.
- Apply networking, multimeter, and voltage testing skills.
- Trace wires from end devices back to RTU and PLC cabinets.
- Work with customers to solve automation issues.
- Maintain accurate records of time and materials.
- Install automation devices on oil field equipment.
- Install steel piping stacks, gauges, and conduit fittings; terminate wire into devices and junction boxes.
- Communicate effectively with Automation Lead and report issues.
- Safely drive to customer locations.
- Promote a positive working environment.
- Follow training and company procedures.
- Apply effective time management, conduct, and change management skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and 21+ to drive company truck.
- 4–6 years of automation experience, including supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and planning.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime.
- Adherence to company attendance policy.
Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather is possible. All employees must follow safety standards and wear personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Physical DemandsThe position requires walking, standing, use of hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Exposure to moving parts and electricity is also possible.
