Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NOV safety standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Job Duties
- Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes to perform electrical tests and repairs.
- Apply knowledge of electronics, mechanics, and PLC automation to resolve issues efficiently.
- Work closely with technicians, operators, and supervisors to minimize downtime.
- Prioritize and manage maintenance tasks in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
- Document repair activities, root causes, and corrective actions for continuous improvement.
Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment preferred.
- Familiarity with PLC automation and ladder logic preferred.
- Ability to travel approximately 1–2 weeks per month as required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.
- Skilled in safe and effective use of test instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
