GOTV Organizer

Texas Democratic Party Midland, Texas, United States

Founded in 1846, Texas Democrats continue the march towards a state as great as its promise.

A fair shot for all, that’s what drove Democrats to build this great state, and that is what drives us today. A belief that no matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from, or who you love if you work hard in Texas, you can make it.

We believe democratic government exists to achieve as a community, state, and nation what we cannot achieve as individuals.

We believe in equal opportunity, fairness, freedom, family, community, and a responsibility to ourselves and each other. These are the values our elders passed down to us, the values we hope to share with our children, and the values we expect from our elected officials.

The Texas Democratic Party is a movement of millions of Texans coming together to fight for our Texas values. We know our state cannot succeed when the deck is stacked against working Texans and their families.

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking GOTV Organizers to join our Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign, supporting Talarico for Texas and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. GOTV Organizers will be on the front lines of our large-scale effort to mobilize voters across Texas during the most critical period of the campaign. Organizers will build and lead the volunteer and voter contact infrastructure which will translate this high energy election into a high turnout election.

They will gain hands‑on experience with the systems and organizing practices used on competitive federal campaigns while contributing to the lasting infrastructure necessary to flip this state blue and keep it that way.

This position will begin the week of August 24 and end November 15, 2026.

GOTV Organizers are compensated at $5,000 per month initially, with pay increasing with increased hours later in the campaign.

They are eligible for generous benefits including health care, vision, and dental insurance and stipends for cell phone and eligible transit.

The Texas Democratic Party staff are proudly unionized. This position is represented by IBEW Local 220. GOTV Organizers are eligible for union membership in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
