American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgical experience for a day-shift assignment with call requirements.

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• General, Orthopedic, Neuro, Trauma, and ENT surgical case experience needed
• Pediatric surgical experience preferred
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Call requirements included
• Cerner charting system experience preferred

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required; PALS preferred
• Experience with a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neurology, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, ENT, thoracic, and bariatric procedures
• Familiarity with OR equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources
• Pending license accepted with consideration but must be active before start date

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Participate in call rotation and be available for scheduled holiday coverage
• RTO must be submitted for consideration
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts an on-site drug screen covering multiple substance panels, including marijuana, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply as long as required skills and experience are met
