Sales Representative, Business Development
Overview
Green Light Distribution is growing quickly, we are looking for passionate, innovative, and self-motivated individuals with a business oriented and customer-focused Off-Prem Representative to join the GLD family.
Responsibilities- Identify target accounts and build relationships with off-premises staff, retail managers, and customer sales personnel.
- Leverage relationships with key accounts to sell in distribution.
- A very “hands‑on” individual able to work in an intense, fast‑paced environment while helping other team members achieve success.
- Educate trade and the consumer through direct interaction including samplings, meetings, and trainings (support local team with staff training, etc.).
- Utilize data analysis tools such as Encompass, Microsoft Office Suite, and other software to track activities, results, contacts, tasks and output.
- Maintain and enhance network of points of distribution.
- Achieve monthly sales and placement goals in assigned territory.
- A beverage industry professional with a minimum of 1 year of sales experience with a supplier or distributor; spirits background would be ideal.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance that is in force.
- Ability and willingness to occasionally work non‑traditional hours, such as nights and weekends.
- A very “hands‑on” individual able to work remotely and demonstrate added value.
- Strong interpersonal skills to direct the distributor sales forces and develop key retail customer relationships.
- Familiarity with the local market.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Generally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, handle documents, bend and stoop as needed, and reach with hands and arms.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to verbally communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to distinguish sound and perceive the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times can be loud.
- Warehouse temperatures can vary throughout these seasons.
Must be able to perform all the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
