Roledescription:
The Resilience business area of Arcadis is seeking an entry‑level field biologist with a bachelor's degree in biology, botany, ecology, zoology, environmental science, or watershed management to join our field team in Midland or Lubbock, TX. The applicant should have at least one season of field experience.
Role accountabilities:- Environmental compliance construction monitoring
- Pre‑construction surveys
- Biological surveys
- Wetland delineations
- Client site inspections
- Environmental media sampling and water quality monitoring
- Storm water BMP installation and maintenance
Additional activities include data collection and report preparation support for environmental permitting and compliance with applicable state and Federal regulations (e.g., ESA, CESA, CEQA, USACE 404 and 401).
Beneficial experience includes: field experience/knowledge of small mammals, raptors, burrowing owls, bats, and other special status species; survey and/or field experience with identifying birds in flight and by their eggs; plant identification skills in the Chihuahuan Desert and Great Plains; and field experience conducting wetland delineations.
Candidate should be proficient in Word and Excel and have some experience with PowerPoint. Experience collecting field data using a GPS unit or using ArcGIS is beneficial.
Qualifications &Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in biology, botany, ecology, zoology, environmental science, or watershed management
- 1‑3 years of work experience (or internship experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in one of the above areas
- Wetland delineation training or experience
- Species‑specific training or experience

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $53,094 – $84,950.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
