Stanton, TX.
- Lifting and moving heavy equipment and materials using mechanical equipment.
- Attaching loads using chains, slings, cables, hooks, and other rigging equipment.
- Manually handling rigging equipment and securely applying it.
- Attaching and detaching loads effectively.
- Monitoring and maintaining all rigging equipment.
- Communicating effectively with the rigging team (other riggers and crane operator).
- Using standard crane hand signals.
- Assessing loads and determining needed equipment to lift safely.
- Actively participate in a strong safety culture, recognize hazards, attend onsite safety meetings, follow OPD and client safety policies, and be aware of changing conditions.
- Be on time to the jobsite, display a positive attitude, and work in a team environment.
- Work in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat, humidity, cold, and high elevations.
- Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
- Standing up to 11 hours per day with breaks every 2.5 hours.
- Using arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, bending, and handling objects regularly.
- At least 1.5 years of experience as a rigger or ironworker.
- NCCER Rigger Certification Level 1.
- Familiarity with crane hand and verbal signals.
- Ability to follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Travel required and willingness to work extended periods away from home.
- Willingness to work up to 12‑hour shifts, up to 7 days per week when required by schedule.
- Physical ability to meet all demands of the job.
- Experience in a gas plant construction environment.
- 3+ years as an ironworker or rigger.
- NCCER Rigger Certification Level 2 or higher.
